06/03/2020 My 6 Day Food Diary

Here’s an honest food diary from the last 6 days, warts and all!

There’s no special or restrictive diet going on. Just what I class as a reasonable attempt at trying to eat reasonably well with a very relaxed approach!

I’ve often read food diaries in magazines and newspapers and thought, “and where’s the rest of it?!” or “surely they can’t eat like that ALL the time?!”

I’m keeping it real here and haven’t missed off one late night snack! If you know me well you will know I can and like to eat like a horse much to the disbelief of many.

Oh, and it’s 6 days not 7 as I came up with the idea last weekend and blog day is Friday!

Saturday

Breakfast – Bowl of cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk.

Dinner – Buffalo chicken wrap with chips and lashings of ketchup.

Tea – Takeaway pizza. Lost count of how many slices.

Snacks – Crisps

Sunday

Breakfast – Scrambled eggs, mushrooms and 2 rashers of bacon on 1 slice of granary bread toasted.

Dinner – 4 x crackers with cheese followed by a melon pot (was still full from breakfast)

Tea – Curried cauliflower lattice with sweet potato fries, peas, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.

Snacks – Slice of salted caramel cake.

Monday

Breakfast – Beans and mushrooms on 2 slices of seeded wholemeal bread toasted.

Dinner – Moroccan vegetable tagine soup with a small baguette.

Tea – Half a BBQ chicken pizza with salad.

Snacks – Too busy for snacks today!

Tuesday

Breakfast – Beans, mushrooms, scrambled egg and 2 rashers of bacon on 2 slices of seeded wholemeal bread toasted.

Dinner – Tin of tomato soup with rice added in (I can’t be the only one who does this can I?!)

Tea – Spinach and ricotta tortellini with half a tin of chopped tomatoes, added tomatoes and cheese.

Snacks – 1 x cookie, 2 x digestives, packet of salt and vinegar pea snacks, a few Matchmakers (whilst I’ve finished all my Christmas chocolate, my husband hasn’t!)

Wednesday

Breakfast – Scrambled eggs, beans and 2 rashers of bacon (ran out of bread!)

Dinner – Spicy carrot, spinach and dill sandwich, melon pot and an individual dairy milk wholenut bar.

Tea – Steak with peppercorn sauce, sweet potato fries, peas, sweetcorn, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and a giant mushroom with melted cheese.

Snacks – Mini choc chip muffin, 1 x Babybel, packet of chilli and lime protein nuts.

Thursday

Breakfast – 2 slices of cheese on toast.

Dinner – Hot roast pork sandwich with all the trimmings!

Tea – Chicken jalfrezi and pilau rice.

Snacks – 1 triangle of Toblerone, 2 x Babybels.
